CWC alumnus and former Student Senate President John Kindle was
named the University of Wyoming's "Outstanding Graduating Man."
The son of Joel and Nancy Kindle of Riverton received the award Friday based on his academic excellence and achievement, service to the university, participation and leadership in community and campus activities and citizenship qualities.
Kindle, who graduates May 15 with a degree in kinesiology and health promotion, has maintained a high grade-point average while working as a leader on various student and community organizations, serving a tour guide for UW's Admissions Office and volunteering his time to several organizations including Wyoming Special Olympics.
Kindle was instrumental in encouraging the CWC Board and administration to re-start intercollegiate athletics, and the fall after his CWC commencement, volleyball was re-instated at the college. This fall, both men's and women's basketball returns. John does qualify for his third associate's degree from CWC this May, too.
John has been accepted to two physical therapy graduate schools and, at this time, is still undecided about in which to enroll.
